Meet the Owners
Party Bonanza is a family business.

John Cartwright, co-owner and manager of Party Bonanza has over 35 years of retail experience. His wealth of knowledge in the industry and expertise on customer service started with several Cornet stores throughout the U.S. John was honored as both a Manager and District Manager of the Year numerous times with the discount retailer giant. In 1996 when Cornet stores closed the last of their operations, John, now a member of their board of directors, shifted into the party retail industry. He went to work for Party City in Plano, Texas. Manager of the Year, Party City- Dallas District, he gained a wealth of knowledge during the decade he spent providing excellent customer service to his customers throughout the Plano-Dallas area. In 2006, John moved onto CVS in Irving, Texas, continuing to work in retail and customer service, two areas he had devoted the majority of his life to serving. But that was merely a transition as he prepared to pursue a life-long dream of owning his own retail store. Now his dream has become a reality and he has the pleasure of providing great customer service to the City of Denton and meeting his customers’ needs in throwing their perfect parties.

Jonathan Cartwright, co-owner and financial manager for Party Bonanza brings to the company a diverse background with knowledge and experience gained while serving our country as a financial manager for the United States Air Force in the U.S., Central America, South America, Asia and Europe. Recently separated with an honorable discharge, Jonathan spent seven years in the finance field and finished his time as a captain. A decorated veteran, he was awarded the Bronze Star while serving as a financial manager for humanitarian aid funds in Afghanistan in 2005. He has a B.S. in Kinesiology, minor in Aerospace Science and MBA in International Business. He’s also a veteran to customer service being awarded the Air Mobility Command Financial Services Officer (FSO) of the Year and Runner-up Air Force FSO of the Year in 2003. Lastly, he is a published author. His fantasy book, Masters of the Stones, can be found on Amazon, Books-a-Million, and Barnes & Noble.com.
